What to Expect After Enrollment:

Next Steps for Receiving Your Care Improvement Plus Benefits.
You've just helped someone enroll in a Care Improvement Plus plan, now get an idea of what to expect after enrollment.

No matter how you enrolled ...
Once Care Improvement Plus receives a completed and signed enrollment application, we process it within 48 hours.

Watch the mail!
New members will first receive a Care Improvement Plus Confirmation Kit, which includes a confirmation letter and the plan's Evidence of Coverage (EOC). Within 7-10 days the member will receive a Care Improvement Plus Member Welcome Kit that contains a Care Improvement Plus Member ID card, important plan benefit information, including a Summary of Benefits, Drug Formulary, and Provider Directory. Members should be sure to bring their new Care Improvement Plus Member ID card with them and show it whenever they want to use their plan benefits

The Effective Date of coverage depends on the time of enrollment.
In most cases, a member's Care Improvement Plus coverage will start on the first day of the month after we receive the completed Enrollment Application.

If a prescription must be filled after coverage begins but before the Member ID card is received: Tell the member to take the online enrollment confirmation page or Temporary Proof of Coverage envelope they received in their enrollment kit and a copy of the their enrollment application to any Care Improvement Plus participating pharmacy.
